I believe that cats have a remarkable talent for expressing their displeasure through their facial expressions. They are unapologetically honest about their emotions, and I think this is one of their most charming qualities. I especially love Barbara the cat for her ability to show her feelings so clearly on her cute little face. She never hides her discontent and it’s always evident in her expressions.
Sarah Borok, a Brooklyn resident, is a cat enthusiast who enjoys rescuing cats in need. One of her rescued felines is Barbara, who she adopted from a local shelter. Barbara was previously known as Belle and was taken care of by Beth Stern, a renowned cat advocate and Howard Stern’s spouse. It was North Shore Animal League America and Beth Stern that brought this seemingly grumpy-looking cat into Sarah’s life. According to Sarah, the shelter staff had labelled Barbara as an unadoptable cat. However, Sarah was up for the challenge and willingly took on the responsibility. Sarah understood that cats can be temperamental, and it wasn’t Barbara’s fault. She was committed to providing Barbara with a loving home.

Behavioral issues are a common reason why cats end up in shelters on a daily basis. Take Barbara, for example. Sadly, she was deemed an aggressive cat, which deterred potential adopters from giving her a chance. But Sarah saw something different. By respecting Barbara’s need for space, Sarah was able to help her come out of her shell and turn her life around.

Her cute photos aim to inspire faith, joy, and raise awareness about the importance of adoption. It seems like she’s always taking in her surroundings and analyzing them closely.
